We use radio to amplify youth voices across Africa, giving them the skills and tools to speak about their lives
In partnership with Medecins Sans Frontieres, the Children’s Radio Foundation launched our Future Positive initiative.
With a grant from the Commonwealth Foundation, the project trains mentors and youth in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, to use radio as a tool to get young people speaking about HIV/AIDS in their community.
The event recruited new youth participants, and included a live radio broadcast, debates, and musical performances. And, it also managed to turn the Nolungile Clinic into a party on a Friday afternoon!
