Gun violence in Alexandra, South Africa

An average of 16 people are killed every day through gun violence in South Africa. Youth reporters from Alex FM in Gauteng share their thoughts and feelings about guns and violence.

The youth talk about the many incidents of violence where guns have had a major and devastating effect. This audio piece forms part of our new project, in partnership with the European Union and Gun Free South Africa, which gets young people to ignite community dialogues about youth experiences of violence, to promote safer communities.
