We use radio to amplify youth voices across Africa, giving them the skills and tools to speak about their lives
This photo of Asanda, a grade nine learner at Intlanganiso Secondary School, captures the exciting energy of the event organized by the Ikasi Youth Radio reporters last Friday at Nolungile Clinic in Khayelitsha Site B.
The launch of the Future Positive initiative doubled up as recruitment drive. It was a live radio broadcast and event within the Medecins San Frontieres clinic to recruit new youth who showed interest in joining the Future Positive program. The current Ikasi Youth Radio reporters spoke about their work and what the project is about, played some of their radio shows, had a play on HIV/AIDS by a youth group, hosted a live debate, and had some live musical performances.
