Youth Reporter Brighton Kaoma's winning photograph

At the end of 2013, Arete Stories organised its first Photo Competition, open to both amateur and professional photographers, with the aim of promoting the spirit of documentary and humanitarian photography in telling stories that make a difference.

Our Young Reporter Brighton Kaoma was the runner-up of the competition, ‘I captured the photo during a workshop I was facilitating at a community water and sanitation project in Twaiteka compound of Chambishi Township in the Copperbelt of Zambia.’

The competition has given the selected winners the opportunity to receive a free training session or portfolio review with the award winning photographer Karel Prinsloo

Well done Brighton!
