We use radio to amplify youth voices across Africa, giving them the skills and tools to speak about their lives
On September 16th, several students from Centre Of Science and Technology (COSAT) in Khayelitsha, attended the morning plenary at the Global Evidence Summit, which took place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The objective of this summit was to advance the use of reliable research evidence in addressing the world’s most serious health and social challenges. Accompanied by our new mentor, Unathi Ndiki, programme manager Linda Daniels as well as the school principal, Phadiela Cooper, the young reporters had the opportunity to interview each of the presenting experts on the topic of evidence in a post-truth world. These reports will be used in their broadcasts at school.
Take a listen to the interview the young reporters did with public health researcher and advocate, Caroline Weinberg at the Summit.
